FREELANCING LIKE A BOSS: Demystifying the Role of the Freelance Creative

So you went to (or are in) school for a design discipline and are wanting to try your hands at being a freelancer. Did you ever stop to think, “What does a freelance designer actually do?” Most haven’t and, guess what, it’s more than just creating a finished product that looks great.

This talk is going to delve into what it means to be a freelancer, explained by someone who is doing just that (while maintaining a day job). You will learn things like:

Defining your value to clients (because you are worth it)
Managing client expectations (because they all want it now)
Making money (because you need to pay for stuff)
Having a life (because you are first and foremost a human)

All participants will receive a limited-run poster designed by Chris and will have the opportunity to buy him a beer for his sage wisdom.
