Brad is an award winning web designer in Cleveland Ohio. He's best know for his illustration and comic work, The Brads, that can be seen in .Net magazine and on his website, bradcolbow.com. Currently Brad is the art director at Sideways, a startup that is re-imagining how books and magazines will look and feel on mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad.

(Welcome to) The Age of Emotion and Experience Design — Denise Jacobs
Denise Jacobs, author, speaker, designer, and consultant on many things web, will explore just how far we’ve come since the beginning of the web and how leveraging newer technologies is changing the face of web design towards emotional and experience design. She’ll also look at how the current platforms are redefining how we use and experience websites now and will in the future. It’s time to examine what we consider a “standard” web user experience and – from user interface and experience standpoint -- discover ways to transform a really good website into a great one.

Denise R. Jacobs is the author of The CSS Detective Guide, and is a co-author for InterAct with Web Standards: A Holistic Approach to Web Design, both through recently released through PeachPit/New Riders Press. Denise speaks frequently at conferences around the world, writes articles and books, and does her best to create beautiful, functional websites. Visit her blog at denisejacobs.com, and follow her on Twitter at twitter.com/denisejacobs

Thursty? Following the big event, we’ll have our monthly meet and greet, where you’ll be able to mingle with other AIGA members and talk with speakers Denise Jacobs and Brad Colbow.
